The official noted that the shares of the companies will be chosen depending on their liquidity on the Rasdaq market. Ancuta said measures will be taken to increase the volume of futures and options contracts traded daily.
The BMFMS official explained a reduction in trading fees could boost transactions with such contracts. The stock exchange officials also considered eliminating fees for less transacted contracts.
Ownership in the BMFMS is divided among 75 shareholders including 31 brokerage houses. BMFMS is organized through memberships, following the models of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade, giving owners the right to trade on the Sibieu market and free access to the electronic platform, Eltrans.
