Of all the countries in the region, Achieve Global’s business in Romania registered the most significant growth. The company is also operating in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria. Achieve Global estimates a total turnover exceeding €113 million and a 15 percent increase in 2008.
As for Romanian managers, Daniels said they are increasingly more prepared to become leaders, as their attitude is improving as the market grows. The USA presently makes up for 60 percent of Achieve’s sales, although there is a downward trend on its training market. Europe, which makes up for only 40 percent of the company’s sales, is registering significant increases, according to Daniels.
Leadership training is Achieve Global’s best-sold international service, with a 49 percent share of the company’s entire business, and company officials estimate it will lead the charts in coming years as well. “The number one trend internationally on the training market is leader development. This is true especially in Asia, and Eastern and Western Europe, where market growth rates are substantial,” said Daniels. However, in the USA there is an even greater focus on this aspect, because people in managerial positions are reaching retirement age. This means that those who will manage companies in the near future must be trained swiftly and in as short a time as possible.
Achieve Global is listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and intends to expand, especially in Asia, as well as in four or five Eastern European countries. The Romanian Achieve Global subsidiary posted a €1.1 mln turnover in 2006, up 41 percent year-on-year. Company officials are expecting a turnover in 2007 worth €1.4 mln.
