Deals in the opening session stood at 3.21 million lei (866,107 euros), down 43 percent against yesterday’s session.
The BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds rose 1.13 percent and the BET index tracking the market’s ten top performers went up 1.64 percent.
The BET-FI index measuring the five investment funds known as SIFs gained 1.12 percent. The ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna upped 1.69 percent.
SIF Muntenia (SIF4) rose 1.52 percent, to 2 lei per share. SIF Oltenia (SIF5) advanced 0.81 percent, to 3.73 lei per share.
Banca Transilvania (TLV), Romania's fifth lender by assets, went up 1.22 percent, to 0.83 lei per share. BRD SocGen, Romania’s second largest lender by assets, gained 3.11 percent, to 23.20 lei.
Petrom (SNP), Romania's largest oil company, grew 1.69 percent, to 0.48 lei.
