"Salaries will continue to increase annually by some 20 percent on the IT market, which will be easier for major employers who can afford to pay higher salaries for senior-level specialists,” said Siveco HR Manager, Dana Bichir.
Siveco is one of the most important providers and software integrators of EAS, eLearning, eHealth, eBusiness, eGovernment global solutions and turnkey projects in Romania. The company’s turnover last year was $42 million, and it is expecting this to rise to $60 mln in 2007. Its main competitors are SAP, Oracle and Wizrom.
The HR Manager went on to explain that the major problem on the IT human resource market for the past several years has been retaining personnel. “There is a major focus on benefits and balancing fixed and variable salary portions, depending on performance indicators,” added Dana Bichir.
The company plans to hire employees for all areas of activities, especially in sales and operational business, and is looking for programmers, consultants and project managers, according to Dana Bichir. The most difficult positions to fill are those of Business Development Manager, Project Manager for complex projects, and Java Programmers. Fluctuation of personnel within the company is some 12 percent annually for programmers and consultants
