Unirea Medical Center takes over 50% of Avamedica Constanta

Private medical services provider Unirea Medical Center (CMU), acquired 50 percent of the Avamedica SRL network, with three clinics in the southeastern city of Constanta, for some €700,000, according to a company press release.
The company is to increase its participation in Avamedica by up to 70 percent in the coming two years.

"The decision to take over 50 percent of Avamedica shares was made naturally, following the outstanding collaboration within the CMU Net [Ed. n. CMU's subcontractor network, which includes Avamedica] and is in accordance with our development plan for the period immediately ahead," the company's CEO, Sergiu Negut, said.

Avamedica posted some €450,000 in turnover in 2007 and estimates a 55 percent increase this year, up to €700,000. (NewsIn)
