Considering the group posted over €880 million in net sales in 2007, and estimating a 15 percent growth rate, it may have already reached the €1 bln threshold in 2008.
Viorel Micula said that the company’s results have been influenced by exports, which rose 50 percent, and the food segment registered the best evolution. The company official is not very optimistic about 2009, but indicated that the food industry will be less affected by the crisis, unlike other sectors. Ioan Micula added that forecasts for 2009 are difficult to make, due to the financial crisis.
