Volksbank Leasing financing up to 11 percent in 2007

Two thirds of that amount (67.6 percent) was granted for car leasing, a further 27.8 percent was granted for truck and commercial vehicle leasing, while the equipment segment had a 4.6 percent ratio in terms of total financing.

“In the coming two years, we are planning for a balancing of that ratio, so that commercial vehicles, trucks and equipment reach 50 percent of total financing,” said Volksbank Leasing’s Board of Directors President, Peter Demmer.

The company concluded 11,831 leasing contracts in 2007, some 1,000 more year-on-year.

The lender’s profit rose 26 percent last year, compared to the €4 mln registered in 2006, while its market share is 4.2 percent. Currently, Volksbank’s leasing division ranks seventh in the field. “In 2008, we plan to climb at least two places, to become one of the top five leasing companies on the market,” Demmer added.
