The company experienced losses in the January-September period of €4 mln, from €2.27 registered in the first three quarters in 2006. These major losses were due to higher costs, which rose 9.13 percent year-on-year, up to €79.07 mln.

In the first half of 2007, the company finalized the hulls of seven ships and a completely furbished ship, and is expected to deliver two further fully furbished ships to their contractors.
The yard had its share capital raised by €8.79 mln, up to €22.6 mln. By way of this operation, the major shareholder, Scandinor AS, controlled by Aker Yards ASA, increased its participation to 88.1 percent, from a previous 83.6 percent. The company’s most important minority shareholder is Financial Investment Company (SIF) Moldova, with a 7.02 percent share.

Aker Braila is listed on the electronic Rasdaq market, with capitalization worth €7.2 mln.

Besides Aker Braila, the Norwegian company also controls a shipyard in the port of Tulcea, through its subsidiary Aker Brattvaag.
