Bank Leumi Romania doubles assets in one year

The assets of Bank Leumi Romania, the local subsidiary of the second largest Israeli lender, rose more than twice during September 2006 - September 2007, up to $441.6 million (€298.611 million, RON 1,05 billion), while tripling its loan portfolio, a press release from the bank states.
In September, 2006, the Bank Leumi Romania's assets amounted to €185,3 mln (€125.2 mln). Last week, the President of the bank's Board of Directors, Zalman Segal, had told NewsIn agency Bank Leumi was targeting assets exceeding RON 1 bln.
The loan portfolio tripled during September 2006-September 2007, up to $227.6 mln (157.1 mln). (NewsIn)
