Bostina si Asociatii registers a 19% annual increase in turnover in 2007

"We feel this year's increase is normal. We operated in tandem with market pace, considering that the Romanian business law market registered a 5-6 percent growth," Doru Catalin Bostina, Coordinating Lawyer of Bostina si Asociatii, told Business Standard. He added that Electroputere Craiova and Daewoo Automobile Romania were two of the company's most important projects this year. A further major project involves the Transgaz national gas transporter.

"Another significant aspect which contributed to this increase in turnover was the number of lawyers, which rose this summer, allowing us to sign more contracts," explained Bostina.

The company acquired the Swiss Westdin SA legal consultancy company in 2006. Bostina si Asociatii saw this as an opportunity for operating in the "country of banks and international transactions."

The Romanian business law market was valuated at more than €100 mln in 2006, and its main players include Nestor Nestor Dinculescu Kingston Petersen, Musat & Asociatii, Tuca, Zbarcea & Asociatii, Linklaters, and Popovici & Asociatii.
