Brokers expect volatility on the stock market

“This week will be one of expectation, with high volatility and low liquidity. BVB will follow the trend of major stock markets,” Carpatica Invest Broker Rodica Veltan said.
All BVB indexes were on red on Friday, but the decline was mild. The index of financial investment companies, BET-FI, went down one percent. The BET index, of top ten listed companies in terms of liquidity, only dropped 0.3 percent.
Liquidity amounted to €3.3 million on both BVB main market and the electronic Rasdaq market. A further €9.7 million were registered following a transaction with bonds issued by Bacau (eastern Romania) City Hall.
Brokers are pessimistic regarding stock market evolution by the end of the year. They say losses registeedf on BVB in the past few months are too significant to be recovered in three months, especially since international markets are not expecting good news.

“Nu cred ca mai putem vorbi de recuperarea pierderilor pana la sfarsitul anului, in conditiile in care, la nivel global, se asteapta date macroeconomice nu tocmai linistitoare, iar cresterea economica globala si pentru anul urmator a fost revizuita la inceputul lunii septembrie in minus cu 0,4%, la un nivel de 1,4, de catre analisti”, spune Veltan.
