“We target the leading position,” said Dedeman’s Chairman, Dragos Paval. Bricostore had budgeted business worth €235 mln in 2008, but failed to meet this target, according to company officials. On the other side, the Dedeman group, owned by businessmen Adrian and Dragos Paval, posted a 35 percent annual growth in net sales in 2008.
“We exceeded by far the estimates drafted at the beginning of 2008, when we foresaw a 15 percent increase. The positive evolution is mainly due to expending our sales area by 17,500 square meters, through the opening of the two stores – Dedeman Constanta and Dedeman Botosani, and the increase and diversification of the product range,” Dragos Paval said.
