Eurocopter Romania to focus on expansion in 2009

The company received orders worth €54 million in 2008, which will be delivered this year. Last year, Eurocopter Romania posted €32 mln in net sales. “Main factors which contributed to this result included the rise in the number of sold helicopters and the volume of maintenance, repairs, and general revision services,” added Mascle.

Regarding a possible takeover of the IAR Ghimbav aeronautics enterprise, officials of Eurocopter Group will analyze this year the opportunities which could arise from such a transaction. “To date, opportunities relating to the IAR takeover did not match 100 percent with Eurocopter’s capacities, plans, and development ideas,” said the company official.
