GE Energy is also interested in investments to modernize electro-thermal plants (CET), he added.
“Romania is an important area for us, given there are huge investment opportunities in the sectors of renewable energy and simultaneous production of thermal and electric energy,” Christie said.
The CETs, currently managed by local authorities, require their old and high consumption technologies to be replaced by modern and more efficient ones, according to Christie.
The boost of renewable energy, especially wind energy, will require both the expansion of distribution networks and system management services.
