Oprea added that financial results are significantly higher than H1 2007. “For the whole of last year we had [net] profit worth some RON 70 mln (€20.4 mln). We are doing much better now,” he said.
For 2008, the company estimated some €8.3 million in net profit and €576 mln in turnover, lower than in 2007. Figures are now to be revised. This year’s Hidroelectrica budget amounts to some €305 mln.
Last year, the company provided 25 percent (15.6 TWh) of the country’s electricity.
