The company’s General Manager, Jonathan Soper, declined to comment on the figures. “All I can say is that we did not register losses at the operations level,” he said.
According to company officials, revenue increased 17.2 percent, to €8.5 million, while expenditures rose 36.12 percent, to €8.8 million.
InterContinental was valuated at €70.74 million by DTZ Echinox real estate advisory company, of which €30 mln is the value of the land, located in the central Bucharest.
The hotel is operated by the international InterContinental chain, based on a 2006 management contract, which extended a 35-year partnership.
