Meanwhile, foreign investment funds are propelling Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) indices to such heights that historical highs change… every day. "Hot money" is especially attracted by financial companies. Analysts are unable to predict how far this phenomenon will go.
Stock exchange chronicles are filled with statistics on general increments of titles listed at BSE. The BET-C index increased by 1.08 percent, reaching 6,641.35 points, the highest value since its launch. The BET-C is a balanced average of closing prices of all companies listed on the main BSE market, except for financial investment companies (SIF). BET index cumulated 0.97 percent, up to 9,744.90 points, also reaching new heights. The BET reflects price movements of the most liquid and actively traded 10 stocks on BSE, with the same exception as above. The BET-FI index increased by 0.03 percent, to 88,127.40 points, as did the ROTX index, by 0.64 percent, to 21,809.97 points from 20,649.97. The ROTX is calculated on the basis of prices of most actively traded stocks of the Bucharest and Vienna Stock Exchanges, making this suitable as a benchmark and underlying for standardized derivatives or structured products.
