Plastic-bottled beer claims 50% market share since its launch 10 years ago

Shachar Shaine, President of the Romanian Brewers Association, said that plastic- bottled beer sales increased 5 percent in the first semester of 2008, while deliveries for the glass-bottled brew continue to drop.

Plastic-bottled beer claimed 45.6 percent of the market last year. The beer market advanced 9.6 percent in 2007, and is expected to rise 5 percent this year.
