Financial investment companies (SIF) had a 54.6 percent yield in the same period. Mutual and share funds also registered good yields. The performance of Active Dinamic, an open-end investment fund, was 55.4 percent higher
than that of the SIFs, while prospect fund Fortuna Clasic had a 31.7 percent higher yield than that of the BET index portfolio, which includes the 10 most important Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) shares, not including SIFs. State bonds and bank deposits are at the end of the list.
All the indices that follow the evolution of shares on the BVB Rasdaq market more than doubled by the end of September 2007 year-on-year. The index of totality of shares on the Rasdaq market, RAQ C, increased by 2.48 times in this same period. The IFM index of all 36 mutual funds also rose 16.7 percent. Eight mutual funds had higher yields at the end of September 2007 than the average performance of shares listed on the main BVB market. Net assets of these funds represented 27 percent of the total assets of all 36 mutual funds.
“Rasdaq yields are in proportion to risks of titles on this market. These shares are high-risk and that is why yields are also highest,” Razvan Pasol, President of the financial services company Intercapital Invest, told Business Standard. Active Dinamic, the open-end investment fund managed by Swiss Capital Asset Management, topped the 54.6 percent SIF performance, with a 55.4 percent yield.
