The service had more than one million users by June 30, compared to 800,000 clients at the end of April, according to the company’s Chief Operations Officer (COO), Ovidiu Ghiman.
The number of clients increased on all segments, Ghiman said. Cable TV clients totaled 1.3 million on 30 June, compared to 1.25 mln at the end of April. The company has 800,000 internet clients, compared to 750,000 subscribers on 30 June, and 1.1 million clients for fixed phone services, compared to one million two months ago.
The mobile data segment, included in the 3G services, has been operational since last year, and many companies, especially in the financial-banking and distribution sectors are already using this, according to the company’s COO.
The 3G service was launched in December 2007. RCS&RDS was granted a license for such services in 2006. The network was designed to support several million clients and will be optimized depending on the number of users, Ghiman added.
