RCS&RDS officially launches the DigiMobil 3G network

Cable TV and telecom operator RCS&RDS officially announced the launch of its 3G mobile phone network, named DigiMobil. The network has already been operational in the northern city of Oradea for several months.

According to a press release, the service is also available since November to RCS&RDS subscribers for cable TV, internet and landline phone services in the cities of Timisoara, Craiova, Iasi, Pitesti, Targu Mures, Bacau and Bucharest.

The service is limited to RCS&RDS clients, who can benefit from free subscription, a free phone for the duration of the contract, up to 1,000 free minutes of conversations in the RCS&RDS network and 200 free minutes in the Romtelecom network.

RCS&RDS has been operational on the Romanian market for 10 years and currently has more than one million clients for fixed phone services, 500,000 internet subscribers, more than 1.2 million clients for cable TV and more than 600,000 clients for satellite TV services.
