SIF shareholders forego dividends worth €75 mln

The SIFs, with millions of shareholders, are distributing only a portion of the dividends, as many stock owners have less than 100 shares, and part of these belong to individuals who are deceased, for whom property transfers were not made by their successors.

Dividends that were not paid to such shareholders remain in SIF accounts and are used for investment, according to SIF representatives. Shareholders have three years to request arrear dividends.

SIFs have so far distributed dividends totaling €113.6 million.
