“For the time being, there are no advanced negotiations that would lead to such a result. Our position on the market explains the wish of many major companies to establish partnerships with Siveco and the numerous offers – honored – which the company’s shareholders are receiving,” according to a statement for Business Standard by the company’s Marketing Manager, Anca Crahmaliuc.
The Siveco declaration comes as a result of news in the international press concerning the interest of the Polish Asseco company in the acquisition of Siveco Romania.
“We are truly interested in this company. Preliminary negotiations concerning this matter are in full swing. Siveco is a good company, so a possible transaction would consolidate its regional position, and Asseco Southern Europe is already a powerful company, preparing for stock exchange listing,” said Adam Goral, President of Asseco Poland, quoted by Warsaw Business Journal.
Romanian businessman Sebastian Ghita, owner of the Asesoft business, has repeatedly expressed his interest in acquiring a part or all of Siveco Romania, which he estimates to be worth $100 million.
