One of the most dynamic segments of the market was the Enterprise Application Software with an over the average estimated hike, according to IDC analyst researcher, Calin Mirea. Competitiveness is estimated to be harsh this year at a market growth rate of 11 percent.
Spendings on the software market in 2006 hiked 12 percent year-on-year to 239 million U.S. dollars. Spendings with software implementations stood at 51.7 percent 24.8 percent for technical support services.
The total value of the IT market in Romania could hike 11 percent this year to 1.37 billion euros. Last year the market's growth rate stood at 16.7 percent, according to a study of IDC conducted in mid January.
