Three Renault suppliers plan to enter Romania

However, the main constructor who planned to build the industrial park gave up the project, according to a statement for Business Standard by Sergiu Filip, General Manager of Landmark Management, the company that took over the former ARO car factory.

“We are negotiating with six car parts suppliers, of which three work for Automobile Dacia and Renault and are not present in Romania,” Filip added.

Contacted by Business Standard, Automobile Dacia Vice President, Constantin Stroe, confirmed that Dacia-Renault suppliers are negotiating to come to Campulung, but declined to provide their names.

Automobile Dacia, controlled by French Renault group, announced early this year that it could transfer part of its logistics operations to the ARO platform, where it planned to invest at least €17 million. However, talks were not finalized.

Landmark Management last year acquired several assets of the former ARO factory, including a 460,000 square meters of land and buildings totaling 167,000 sqm. The company recently rented a production hall to French Nobel Plastiques car parts producer, which is a supplier for Dacia.
