“These results are in accordance with our expectations and mark the end of our business’ adjustment to this important market,” the release states.
In the first quarter of 2007, sales in Romania were 21.3 percent higher than in Q1 2006, the highest compared to all other markets Zentiva operates on.
By the half of last year, Zentiva made a major shift in its Romanian market strategy, targeting profitability and focusing less on sales volume.
At a global level, the company estimates a 32 percent increase in sales in H1 compared to the first half of the year in 2007, up to €386.5 million.
