“Last year’s turnover was some 90 percent higher year-on-year. For this year, we foresee at least a 50 percent increase in turnover, compared to that posted in 2007,” the company’s Marketing&Communication Coordinator, Eliza Nechifor, told Business Standard.
She said personnel leasing (for temporary employment) made up some 60 percent of the company’s operations, while recruiting services made up the rest. Furthermore, some 70 percent of the company’s temporary employment services were made available outside Bucharest.
Manpower Romania currently has three offices in Bucharest, two in the city of Timisoara, and one each in Brasov, Cluj and Iasi. “One of our goals for 2008 is to open offices in further cities,” Nechifor said. Cities with high growth potential for recruiting and temporary employment markets are Iasi, Sibiu, Bacau and Craiova, she added.
Manpower’s main competitors on the local market are Adecco, Aims Human Capital, Lugera&Makler and Professional.
