“In two-three years, sales in Romania will exceed those in the Czech Republic. Romania is one of the most significant five markets in the region, along with the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia,” said Autodesk Sales General Manager for Czech Republic, Slovakia and South East-Europe, David Palas.

The company’s main resellers in Romania have different views on the segment’s evolution in 2008. Representatives of Gecad Net, one of the main Autodesk resellers, say the market declined in the past four-five months, since many infrastructure projects were delayed. MaxCAD representatives estimate a 30 percent growth rate for design software market instead.

The Autodesk office in Bucharest will sustain the development of distribution channels on both local market and regional markets such as Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
