Campaign and Stuff magazines move from print to online

Stuff and Campaign were brought to Romania in 2004 and 2005, under the Haymarket UK license.

Market sources say that BMG could no longer support the license for the two products and that at least one of them could return to the market under another publisher’s management.

El Jisr told manafu.ro blog that Stuff and Campaign are moving online to follow their audience, for whom the “internet has become a natural destination. The two projects will be part of Rockmedia, while BMG will focus on its three business magazines, on new business projects, and on business-to-business events.”

The Editor of Stuff, specialized in lifestyle digital, Dan Serbanescu, said the team will be integrated into an online project, for which a name is yet to be found. Discussions for the online project have not been finalized to date, and a different brand could be chosen. The website is likely to be online by the end of November and will be developed gradually. The website for Campaign, specialized in PR, media and advertising, will be launched in late November, during the Zilele Biz (Biz Days) event, the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Romanita Oprea, told Business Standard.

BMG’s portfolio has been significantly reduced lately, as the company canceled its Class, F1 Racing and Autocar magazines. It is currently publishing Biz, Business Week and Business Review business magazines. The company has a strong events organizing component on the business-to-business segment.
