“This project began in October last year, and the Israeli retailer will come to Romania to carry out a greenfield project. We will search for locations for some 70 stores in the country for this client,” according to a declaration for Business Standard by Favi Stelian, General Manager of Magna Capital Romania.
In 2007, Magna Capital offered financing worth a total of €250 million for real estate projects in Romania, and is partner of one of these projects. “It should be said that some 80 percent of our activities are carried out in-house, with the support of the Tel Aviv team, and as such we chose to externalize as few as possible of the responsibilities we have on behalf of our clients,” added Stelian. Magna Capital’s business in Romania makes up some 15 percent of the group’s total business, also present in the Ukraine, Russia and Israel.
“There are far more foreign companies with whom we work, who ask about businesses in Romania, about which they know a great deal, and which they consider interesting, than there are Romanian companies who know who is interested in them and who want to make the most attractive offer,” said Stelian.
